There will be no practice tonight. I will see you all August 20th.
First things first, in order to tryout you must have the following to be allowed into the gym.
A current physical from your doctor
2007/2008 ASB card
These must be presented to AD Catalinich who will confirm them and check your grades.
You will bring your blue card and a signed slip from AD Catalinich. Remember you can’t be in the gym without them. Period, there is no exception. If you have any questions about your physical being current please check with the school. The office is open Monday through Thursday.
Also please get with Nissa ASAP in regards to the team camp at UPS on Aug 13th. Lastly, you need to continue to workout over the next three weeks, tryouts are not designed for conditioning. Being out of shape will tell the coaching staff two things, one your not serious about playing and two it will greatly diminish your chances of landing the spot your are wanting.
My suggestions for the next three weeks are as follows
100-200 crunches - daily
50-60 squats - daily
20 minute jog – 4 days a week
25 pushups – daily
100 lunges – 4 days per week
Passing a volleyball to yourself at least 15 minutes – 4 days a week.
Look on the website, some of the returning players will be planning a few get together’s … be involved in as many as you can.
I appreciate all the hard work a lot of you put in this summer, it was by far the most productive summer Stadium has had since I have been here.
